Natural Supplements Found to Reverse Gray Hair

Premature Gray hair can really dampen the spirit of a young man or woman. The truth is Gray hair is predominately hereditary. Sure there are other reasons that can be attributed to it such as malnutrition, a thyroid imbalance or being over stressed. Unfortunately, just like male pattern baldness, no known pill exists to magically reverse gray hair back to the person’s original color. However, there are a few natural supplements from three different parts of the globe thought to slow down the progression and in some cases even reverse gray hair. Let’s examine each one:

Blackstrap Molasses – To make molasses, the sugar cane is harvested and stripped of its leaves. The juice is then extracted from the cane and boiled in order to concentrate it. This promotes crystallization of the sugars. The remaining liquid is called molasses. Boiling it two more times results in Blackstrap Molasses. Unlike refined sugars, Blackstrap Molasses, contains calcium, magnesium, potassium, and iron; one tablespoon provides up to 20% of the daily value of each of those nutrients. Blackstrap Molasses also contains high amounts of copper and that is what is thought to reverse the graying hair.

Amla Fruit, – Also called Indian Gooseberry, this fruit has been used for hundreds of years in India as a multi-purpose herbal supplement. It is said to have healing properties ranging from anti-arthritis and osteoporosis. Amla can be taken orally but has been added to shampoos and serums as a Gray hair combatant.

Fo-Ti (Polygonum Multiflorum) – Fo-ti is a plant native to China that is also found in Japan, Taiwan and Vietnam. The medicinal part of the plant is the root. In traditional Chinese medicine, Fo-ti is called He shou wu, which means “black-haired Mr. He” in Chinese. This name refers to a legend of an older villager named Mr. He who took fo-ti and restored his black hair, youthful appearance and vitality. In Chinese medicine, fo-ti is a longevity tonic that is used for greying hair, premature aging, weakness, as well as a host of other ailments.
