There are a lot of choices on the market when it comes to choosing a quality franchise at an affordable price. Since it was founded in 1982, Maui Wowi Hawaiian has expanded to nearly 600 domestic and international franchise locations. The unique selling position of this franchise is that you gain something more than just a product…you gain the Aloha spirit along the way.
I wasn’t aware of this as I started taking a look into this industry, but I wasn’t shocked to find out that Coffee remains the number two commodity in the world with over 400 million cups being served daily in the U.S. alone!
Maui Wowi Franchise is doing its best to capitalize on something going on in the market they call fusion, which is taking part smoothie and part coffee and turning it into a single product. Not sure how I like the sound of a Pena’ Colada Mocha Chino’, but heck, I’m sure there is something on the menu that any of us would enjoy.
The startling thing to me is the number of these types of franchises that already exist around my area here in Hawaii and how many people are always packed into each one. I’ve recently read that the growth rate in the next few years is 30%, which isn’t a bad thing when considering the required $65,000 – $250,000 dollars in total upfront investment. With that kind of money, we’d better be hoping for growth!
As for a franchise, like most Maui Wowi does provide continued training, support, marketing, and all the other bells and whistles that go into a business that you invest in. The only drawback to such a model is the competition from others such as Starbucks and Jamba Juice now offering both smoothies and coffee’s as well.
Overall, it could be an interesting addition to your hometown or major city because we all know we could each use a place to escape the daily grind with a bit of the Beach atmosphere.
Like all things, do your due diligence, investigate fully, and make sure what you are getting into has a steady and proven team of experts that could show you how to duplicate and achieve success.
