Lipicontrol Review

Many of us are concerned about our heart health, and cholesterol levels factor heavily into this equation, because high cholesterol levels may increase our risk for a variety of health issues, including heart attack and stroke. At some point, many of us are faced with the fact that we have high cholesterol levels, and our health care providers often suggest pharmaceutical grade medications, but they come along with some intense side effects, which many consumers find off-putting.

Luckily, over the last few years, holistic technology has advanced to the point where some nutritional supplements may help consumers effectively, naturally and safely lower bad cholesterol, while increasing good cholesterol. LipiControl belongs to a class of holistic products geared toward this issue. It uses a blend of herbs and vitamins, which they suggest may help individuals “support and manage healthy lipid levels, vascular (blood vessel) function and circulation.” We will take an in-depth look at this product’s formula to see exactly what it may offer.

Lipicontrol contains the following ingredients: Niacin (Vitamin B3), Gamma Oryzanol, Beta-Sitosterol (Plant Sterols), Red Yeast and Guggulipid (standardized to 10 percent guggulsterones).

This formula contains Niacin, which may produce some results, but it also has some risks and side effects. For instance, when using Niacin supplements, many experts suggest having liver function monitored, because it may cause toxicity. This is also the case with Red Yeast Rice, which also appears to work directly on the liver. This element is manufactured by using the ‘Went’ strain of Monascus purpureus and, in many ways, is a naturally occurring statin. While it has some ability to lower cholesterol, its similarity to statin drugs, which have many side effects, may be concerning to many consumers who prefer to look for side effect-free extracts instead.

This formula also contains Guggulipid, which has been shown to keep cholesterol within normal ranges. However, it has not been shown to be able to actually lower bad cholesterol or increase good cholesterol.
