The Cosmopolitan opened officially on December 15, 2010 and its construction was not without some roadblocks! The two high rises that make up the Cosmopolitan are located at 3708 Las Vegas Boulevard, just south of the Bellagio. When construction began in October 2005, it was initially planned to have a staggering 2,200 condo units, 800 hotel rooms, huge spa and fitness facilities, the most stylish shops, a theater, and space for meetings and conventions. This project amounted to a whopping 3.9 billion dollars.
It’s not a surprise that money troubles plagued this project soon after the huge underground parking garage was finished. After a few financial problems, it was announced that the Cosmopolitan would open in stages and would be completely open in July 2011. The Cosmopolitan is already an impressive sight, and the best is yet to come. We have many More Cosmopolitan, Las Vegas Information, Travel Review and Attractions Articles Now Available.
