With all threats running through the web; having an antivirus software is a must in order to maintain a stable system. There are many AV solutions; some are better than others. Three of the most popular antivirus available are Avast, AVG and Avira. All of them offer a good set of tool that helps maintain a system secure.
Avast offers a really solid protection against threats. It has protection against anti-spyware & anti root-kit. Avira AntiVir 10
Like AVG & Avast, AntiVir offers anti-spyware and anti-rootkit protection. Since it treats emails like files it provides email protection. It also features a heuristic engine. One new feature in version 10 is the Generic-Repair Mode; and for the scanning, Windows 7 users are able to run it as an administrator from the interface. AntiVir also features a lot of custom scanning option making it useful scanning devices. Using its AHeAD (Advance Heuristic Analysis and Detection) technology, AntiVir is able to detect unknown virus by profile.
